Ancestors of the Akabi-Davis & Tuboku-Metzger Families

The Akabi-Davis Clan originated from the Tuboku-Metzger Clan. History tells us that the first known Tuboku-Metzger was Samuel Tuboku-Metzger, known as "tuboku", a freed slave who had breen captured in Nigeria and was on his way in a slave ship to either usa or uk. He was rescued and brought to Freetown, Sierra Leone. He later gave birth to a number of childtren, one of them being Blanche, Agatha who gave up her surname to be wed to the fiirst known Akabi-Davis, Topps Akabi-Davis to become Agatha Blanche Akabi-Davis, and in this process adopt herr husband's compound surname Akabi-Davis and the two became one.
